17-Jul-2018 : The Star Inn, Dylife

y Star Inn is a traditional 17th century drovers’ inn, offering a great selection of food, ales and wine as well as 7 en-suite bedrooms for accommodation.  It’s open all day from Easter to October.  It’s located an hour and a half from Snowdonia and only an hour from Cader Idris and the Cambrian mountains which are a wonderful place to explore and climb.

Apart from all the great walks in the immediate vicinity, including Glyndŵr’s Way, amateur astronomers can enjoy the dark skies of the Cambrian Mountains which have been listed as one of the best places to view the night sky (see this article from the BBC’s Web site).

If you’re passing, drop in for lunch or a drink, or try the accommodation.  y Star is located at the top of the Llanidloes-Forge mountain road (see Google Maps).  You can contact them on 01650-521345 or via email at enquiries@starinndylife.co.uk.

In partnership with The National Tourist Organisations of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, y Star has been acknowledged to have followed government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, ensuring processes are in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social/physical distancing.

    Hi Kim!
Perhaps we can pay the Star a visit next time we visit you? Have they still go a dart board, pool table, etc?
    Love,
